Meet the Doctors
Dr. Dan Crawford
Dr. Dan Crawford is a native Texan who grew up in the DFW area. Dr. Crawford received his DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. He graduated third in his class of 95 students and received several awards while attending Baylor. He received the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence from Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He also received the American College of Dentists Award for outstanding performance and professionalism while a student at Baylor College of Dentistry; this award is presented to only one student from each graduating class and was voted upon by the faculty. During the third year of dental school he was elected president of Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.
Following his training at Baylor, he went on to complete a one-year general practice residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he gained advanced training in treating medically compromised patients. Dr. Crawford also gained experience in both operating room and emergency room treatment at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital and University Hospital in San Antonio. From 1996 to 1999 he served on the Baylor College of Dentistry faculty as an associate clinical instructor in the department of restorative sciences. He has been in private dental practice in Trophy Club since 1999. Since completing his formal dental education, Dr. Crawford has advanced his dental training through hundreds of hours of continuing education. He participates in charity dentistry through the Dallas Mission of Mercy program.
Dr. Kris Word
Dr. Kris Word was born and raised in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Dr. Word graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1994 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She has maintained a private practice in Family and Cosmetic Dentistry since that time and practiced for five years in the Grand Prairie area before moving her practice to Trophy Club in 1999.
Dr. Word served from 1995-1999 as an associate clinical professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry. She has also volunteered with the Arlington Mission, a non-profit group which provides dental services for the less fortunate. Dr. Word also completed a three-month pediatric internship with Children’s Hospital and is very active in treating children. Dr. Word is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association and is very involved in continuing education involving cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry.
