Bridges & Crowns

There are multiple reasons why a tooth may need a crown. A crown may be required for a cracked or broken tooth as well as a tooth with a large filling that needs replacement where the new filling will be too large to withstand the force of chewing. A crown may also be indicated for cosmetic reasons; to change the shape, color or position of a tooth.

A bridge may be indicated for a patient who has one or more missing teeth. A bridge requires that natural teeth be present on either side of the space, and these teeth are used as anchors to support the replacement tooth.
